BIM Coordinator/Senior BIM Coordinator

London

The BIM Team is looking for talented and experienced BIM Coordinators and Senior BIM Coordinators to join our London office. You will be a dynamic, confident individual with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of our BIM and Design Technologies team. You will be experienced in working on UK BIM Framework projects and to BS EN ISO 19650-2 and will be able to discuss how you have implemented this on previous projects. As a BIM Coordinator you will be expected to have 3 years minimum industry experience (Architectural discipline) and a minimum 1 year experience as a BIM Coordinator working on large projects.

As software skills are key to the role, you will have at least 3-5 years Autodesk Revit (Architecture) experience and have a solid understanding of most of the software functionality (Dynamo experience also desirable). Additional practical software experience will be expected for Navisworks, Rhino and Grasshopper.

Content Creation Assistant

We are seeking a Content Creation Assistant to join our BDMC (Business Development, Marketing and Communications) team, with the role based in our London office but working across our three offices.

The practice is looking for a flexible, creative individual to help develop and deliver our digital content strategy, with a focus on editing, video and graphics. 

Key tasks include assisting in:

- Delivering a wide range of video content (this could be filming and editing)
- Capturing and editing a wide range of imagery 
- The delivery of documents to help ensure they meet the practice’s graphic standards
- Briefing and organising photographic shoots
- Developing content for social media and our website 
- Carrying out a range of admin tasks, such as updating the image library.

Requirements:

- Keen interest in visual storytelling, particularly within the world of architecture and interiors 
- Proficiency across the Adobe Suite, especially Premiere Pro and InDesign
- A confident communicator and able to work with a wide range of people
- Preferably a degree or similar qualification in video production, graphic design or content creation
- Good graphic eye 
- Highly organised and able to juggle a varied workload.

IT Support Analyst

We are looking for an IT Support Analyst to join our team in Manchester. The role is well-suited to an enthusiastic individual looking to join a creative and vibrant office in a key support role.

The role is based on site, 5 days a week and will include a wide range of tasks, including helpdesk queries, support across multiple offices, installing, configuring, and supporting hardware, software, systems/servers and mobile phones.

Key Tasks

- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Managing support queries from multiple sources that range from 1st to 3rd line.
- Working in a small IT Team of between 2-6 people.
- Working in a SME sized business of 50-400 users over multiple offices.

Skills and Experience

- 2 years minimum proven experience in an IT support role.
- Strong experience of Adobe Creative Cloud products, Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD, Bentley, Microsoft Office 365/Teams.
- Strong experience of Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group policy, PowerShell, pc imaging.
- IT and Microsoft certifications (or similar).
- Self-motivated with strong prioritisation skills and attention to detail.
- Approachable and articulate
- Positive and proactive in dealing with tasks and support requests within a team environment.
- Experience working in a Design/Architectural environment would be an advantage.

Specification Writer

Sheppard Robson is recruiting a Specification Writer to join our team in London.

The practice is looking for a communicative and technical individual who will act as a focus for specification writing and cladding expertise, coordinating the in-house training in specification writing, and preparing and maintaining SR bespoke guidance notes within NBS Chorus software. The role will also include managing the interface between NBS Chorus platform and BIM modelling software.

This person will report to the technical director. 

Key tasks

- Creating and maintaining SR bespoke clauses and guidance notes within NBS chorus software platform
- Writing and reviewing specifications to ensure a consistently high standard is maintained across the practice
- Integrating with all technical directives, including Design Delivery Group (DDG) initiatives and presentations
- Providing technical support to staff across all grades and disciplines
- Preparing and presenting in-house training seminars for specification writing to cover both general guidance on specification writing and the operation and use of NBS Chorus software

Skills and experience

- Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or Specification Writer
- A demonstrable background in the architectural sector, with solid experience creating NBS documents and construction details
- Strong technical ability
- Excellent understanding of UK building regulations
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Expert knowledge of NBS Chorus software
