Tom leads a broad range residential, mixed use and masterplanning projects from the practice’s London office, with expertise in residential projects and is a certified Passivhaus Designer.

His lifelong passion for good housing design has been exemplified in the key role has played in leading award-winning projects. At Barking Riverside high quality homes and apartments with innovative layouts were arranged in a permeable masterplan that put landscape and biodiversity at the heart of the scheme which won a Housing Design Award. At Camden Courtyards a high-quality high-density housing scheme balanced mixed tenure housing and quality amenity space on a tight site. This project also won a Housing Design Award.

Alongside project work, Tom is a member of the Sustainability Group, with a focus on Net Zero Carbon. He recently completed a secondment at Landsec, working client side to build their residential design knowledge base and assist with the design development of key residential Build-to-Rent projects. He has undertaken research projects, the most recent being a Passivhaus case study of a real project to demonstrate how it could be designed to Passivhaus standards. He is a member of Build Offsite, and has championed design quality in this sector and presents at various Build Offsite conferences. He also recently undertook voluntary work to design and build an outdoor classroom working with the local community.
