David Ardill Partner

David Ardill

David is a member of Sheppard Robson’s Design Review Group, and works across multiple sectors, including commercial offices, higher education, schools, civic buildings and hotels.

A broad experience in both professional practice and architectural education has shaped David’s inherently collaborative and inquisitive design process. His portfolio of award-winning work is underpinned by a process of asking questions until the right answer—according to the brief, context and opportunity—is identified. Recent examples of his interrogative approach include: The Interserve UK Hub, Birmingham (winner of the BCO’s National Innovation Award) and The Siemens Middle East Headquarters (the first LEED Platinum office building in the region).

David worked as a Unit Diploma Director for six years at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, teaching 4th and 5th year students, and remains actively engaged with both architectural teaching and theory. David was named Middle East Architect of the Year in the Big Project Middle East Awards 2012.
