Event: Are Garden Cities the right solution for the housing crisis?

17th February 2015

As the conversation about London’s housing crisis rages on, we hosted a debate at our London office on the subject of Garden Cities. Entitled Are Garden Cities the right solution for the housing crisis? The discussion was Chaired by Peter Murray (Chairman of the New London Architecture) and covered such topics as: should we be looking to develop brownfield sites in the City Centre before building on the green belt? And what would this urban densification look like? How will Garden Cities create communities that are sustainable, both socially and environmentally? And how might the current idea of the Garden City be adapted to create more attractive places to live?
