Alan Shingler discusses MMC on Estates Gazette podcast

22nd March 2017

With modern methods of construction (MMC) a hot topic, especially since last year’s Farmer Review, Sheppard Robson’s Alan Shingler spoke to the Estates Gazette about the history of progressive construction over the past 100 years in the UK and why it’s particularly timely to explore how it can transform our built environment.

The conversation includes a discussion of: why is MMC attractive to clients and what are the barriers? How can greater control and consistency of off-site construction can drive forward the sustainability agenda? And, noting Sheppard Robson’s recently completed citizenM Tower of London hotel (pictured), why MMC is a process not an architectural style?
