Sheppard Robson wins BD Higher Education Architect of the Year award

19th April 2018

Sheppard Robson was named Building Design magazine’s Higher Education Architect of the Year last night, an award that recognises the UK practice with the best ongoing and completed portfolio in the sector.

The following projects were considered in the award shortlisting: London Business School, the Sammy Ofer Centre; Brunel University, Wilfred Brown Building; University of Hull, Brynmor Jones Library and The University of Hertfordshire, The New Science Building.

This selection demonstrates how the reuse of existing assets is high on the agenda for estate directors nationwide, and the projects illustrate an agility and thoughtfulness in dealing with a range of buildings, from the remodelling of brutalist structures on suburban campuses to the repurposing of listed Edwardian buildings in central London.
