ID:SR Sheppard Robson named Interior Architect of the Year at the Building Design Magazine Awards 2020

6th November 2020

With wellbeing high on the workplace agenda, ID:SR and Sheppard Robson projects have driven forward the industry’s thinking on adopting a truly people-centric approach. This approach has been recognised by the BD judges, as they highlighted the Practice’s BBC Central Square design, as “ground-breaking” for pushing forward the neurodiversity agenda within the industry.

Alan Bainbridge, Director of Workplace for BBC described the project as one which “…has the power to lift the spirits of those with hidden conditions. We have already received heartfelt feedback from people who usually find open and collaborative environments difficult and anxiety-inducing.”

For the awards ID:SR showcased four projects; BBC Wales, Deloitte HQ, Ashurst and Hounslow House, all of which truly demonstrate how the power of design can be harnessed to deliver positive change.

Being named 'Interior Architect of the Year' is a testament to the great collaboration between the creative minds in our studio, whether that be architects, interior designers, workplace strategists or graphics designers.
