This seven-building roll-out entailed initial meetings/interviews with developers in London, Manchester and Birmingham, reviewing their proposals, making suggested improvements where it assisted the Bank’s occupation, and agreeing the final agreement to lease specification and drawings. This important stage of the project ensured the Bank got the best base build, from a layout point of view, and ensured the developer’s base offer was benchmarked properly against the city norms and the British Council for Offices guidelines. Once the agreement to lease was signed, Sheppard Robson undertook an ongoing review of the proposals as they developed, and ensured any proposed changes did not have an adverse impact on the Bank’s occupation.
