Phoenix Mountain Spa Hotel and Club Houses Guangzhou, China
The Phoenix Mountain Spa & Resort is being developed on a former quarry site, taking full advantage of the location, topography and views, nestling within a unique, secluded landscape setting.
The 9,520m² ‘King Club House’ will be a breathtaking retreat, offering a master suite, four bedrooms, dining and leisure facilities including a library, spa, pool and yoga terraces and a 2ha garden. The Hotel and Club House project aims to become the primary hosting destination for Chinese and international business leader gatherings as well as an exclusive social venue for celebrities from all walks of life.
Guangzhou is one of the major urban centres in China. The project is located in the south lake area 15km from the central business district and approximately 5km from the airport on the site of an extant quarry.
The 44 club houses are designed around a series of specialist themes. Each club house will have a primary theme but will include aspects of all the others, these include:
- Club house 1: Party
- Club house 2: Museum
- Club house 3: PR Business
- Club house 4: Catering, Haute Cuisine
- Club house 5: Luxury Leisure
The Roman villa rustica and the Siheyuan courtyard houses have influenced our designs for the club houses, which exploit the fact that the site is a former stone quarry: they will literally be built of this place out of the stone (granite).
The club houses are designed as exclusive business and leisure retreats, each containing a variety of entertaining spaces, spa, pool and treatment rooms (including a snow room), fine dining and tasting rooms, collection/gallery space, four to six suites and staff accommodation. They will be the ultimate in contemporary luxury.
