Imperial College London, Incubator Unit, SW7 London, UK
Sheppard Robson completed this project with proposed co-consultants Curtins. Imperial College London wished to enhance its international reputation for quality research based upon creating an incubator to provide a sheltered base for the development of spin-off companies taking projects to the commercial market.
A location within the South Kensington campus (previously a stone-cutting workshop) within a listed building was proposed, where Sheppard Robson has cleared a lot of clutter that had been added over the years, to provide a light and airy space with 12 laboratory and 15 office units with associated meeting rooms and interaction space.
