3 & 10 Finsbury Square, EC2 London, UK
The design for 3 & 10 Finsbury Square is a dramatic response to its context, generating a series of fluid, sinuous floorplates linking to the adjacent buildings.
Floor-to-ceiling height glazing flows seamlessly across the undulating facade without interruption, creating a striking new addition to Finsbury Square.
The development also visually connects the square with the Honourable Artillery Company grounds, recreating a historic link that has been lost since the mid-18th century.
Flexible accommodation optimizes floorplate efficiency, and net floor area and cores are located against party/boundary walls to maximise the prime office frontage.
A comprehensive sustainability strategy has been incorporated to the project including features such as closed loop ground source heat pumps, night-time purge ventilation, simultaneous air- and water-free cooling, and greywater and rainwater harvesting.
The project has achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating.
