Taylor Wessing is a law firm employing over 750 lawyers throughout Europe. The actual and expected growth of the London office called for new space to attract and retain the best staff.
The result was the selection of 5 New Street Square, City of London. Taylor Wessing signed up to take 8 floors of the building and challenged ID:SR to convey their 'people first' philosophy in the interior design.
Design & Innovation
The brand values of people focus and mutual trust are clearly expressed in the design which expertly ties in the firms commitment to the arts by incorporating a billyundhells photographic portrait art installation at the main reception.
The 10th floor reception offers sweeping views across London and the River Thames. The accommodation; seminar space, client meeting suites, boardroom and restaurant allows the space to be experienced by staff and visitors alike.
The enthusiasm and dedication across the design team was generated by regular communication with Taylor Wessing, injected with a real desire to make it work for the business. No design detail was too small or construction process too complex for consideration. This involvement was empowering and has generated a building for Taylor Wessing that seems to inherently exude the culture, brand, status and practice of the business – providing a concrete identity to their business and a cultural experience for all stakeholders.
