Essa Academy Bolton, UK
Essa Academy utilises a highly transformational curriculum and teaching agenda, which has informed our design and configuration of the learning spaces within the proposed new building. The design provides inspirational spaces and innovative ICT solutions. Flexible teaching spaces can be configured to provide a variety of learning environments, with traditional classrooms where required, and moveable acoustic furniture.
The accommodation is formed around two courtyards, one external and one a covered space with balconies and spaces to display work.
Natural ventilation and lighting, a biomass boiler and the use of recycled and sustainable materials help achieve a building that will provide sustainable facilities for the future and promote the benefits of holistic thinking.
